Description from the seller
THE WORK
- Interface (2025). Mixed media on panel with stretcher. 100x100x4 cm. A scrap of canvas has been laid on the panel and nailed with staples.
- Interface presents the face as a surface of exchange: a place where the human and the structural meet without merging. The face appears treated as a plane, chromatically fragmented and bounded by an artificial contour, almost technical, that separates it from the dark background.
Geometries and construction lines traverse the work as if they were layers of information, schematics or coordinates that try to translate identity into a rational language. Yet the face remains mute: the empty eyes and the restrained expression underline the impossibility of a complete reading.
The work thus functions as an intermediate space —an interface— between the visible and the hidden, between data and emotion, inviting the viewer to question the mechanisms by which we perceive, interpret and represent the human in contemporaneity.
- Work hand-signed by the artist on the painting and on the back.
- Unique edition.
- Piece from a new collection.
- The work ships without disassembly.
