The first image depicts the passage of the work from the exterior wall to the interior space of buildings. What originates on the street, in the urban public context, is transferred inside palaces, houses or museums, completely changing its environment and meaning. In this case, the most interesting stretch of wall is selected and cut out, the one on which the street artist had carried out the exterior intervention. The fragment is then detached from the original street context and transformed into an autonomous object. Once cut, this piece of wall can be moved and placed indoors: in homes, in palaces, in museums or in other buildings. In this way the work changes environment and function, moving from the public and everyday space of the street to a private or institutional space, where it is preserved and exhibited as a true artistic object. All of this represents a kind of imagined reconstruction by the artist, reflecting on the process of moving the work from the urban context to the domestic or museum context.
