Description from the seller
Egermann Hand-Formed Crystal Vase – Nový Bor, Bohemian Glass (28 cm)
This elegant vase comes from the traditional glassworks Egermann in Nový Bor, one of the most respected names in the history of Bohemian crystal. The region of Nový Bor has been a center of world-class glassmaking for centuries, and pieces like this continue that tradition of craftsmanship and refined design.
The vase is made using the traditional hot-glass technique at the glass furnace. Molten crystal is gathered on a glassblower’s pipe and carefully shaped by hand while the glass is still glowing hot. The distinctive softly sculpted flared rim is formed manually, giving the piece its elegant character and ensuring that every vase is slightly unique.
After shaping, the glass slowly cools in a special annealing kiln to achieve perfect clarity, strength and brilliance. The result is beautifully clear Bohemian crystal with graceful proportions and exceptional transparency.
Its timeless minimalist design allows the material and craftsmanship to stand out. Whether used with flowers or displayed on its own, the vase works as a refined decorative object and a subtle example of traditional Czech glass artistry.
With its height of 28 cm, the vase has a balanced and elegant presence that fits both classic and modern interiors.
Each piece reflects the skill of the glassblower and the long tradition of Bohemian crystal making in Nový Bor, a craft recognized worldwide for its quality and artistry.
