Fern is the pseudonym used by the sculptor Clavo and the sculptor Carmen Lop when they work together.
Both sculptors work in metal forging, mainly iron and steel.
The techniques they primarily use are forging and welding.
Their styles range from figurative to abstract, including pop art.
They place great importance on technique, craftsmanship, to create a good sculpture.
They have participated in numerous national group and solo exhibitions.
They have received separate awards, notably the "Premio de escultura urbana Ciudad de Ávila" in 2006 and the "Memorial a las Víctimas de la Violencia Machista" in Zaragoza 2016.
They admire Spanish sculptors such as Martín Chirino, Jorge Oteiza, Eduardo Chillida, and Julio González.
