Vintage bar cart in golden brass with smoked glass, Italian design from the 1960s–1970s, dimensions 80 cm wide by 69 cm high by 42 cm deep, in good used condition with small signs of age and stains.
Description from the seller
Vintage brass and glass bar cart
– Italian design from the 1960s-1970s
Elegant vintage bar cart attributed to Italian production from the 1960s-70s, a period when domestic design blended functionality, graceful form, and the refined aesthetics typical of Italian modernism.
The structure is made of metal with a polished brass finish, characterized by soft, sinuous lines that create a slender, dynamic silhouette. The two oval surfaces are enhanced by smoky dark glass, a widely used element in designs of the era, capable of creating a pleasant chromatic contrast with the metal’s shine.
The structural composition is made particularly interesting by inclined uprights with ring joints that connect the two levels, a stylistic detail typical of modernist design and the Space Age style that spread through Italy and Europe between the late 1960s and early 1970s.
The upper surface is ideal for serving cocktails and aperitifs, while the lower one provides additional space for bottles, glasses, or bar accessories. The four swivel wheels allow easy movement, making the cart practical as well as highly decorative.
This type of furnishing was very common in bourgeois living rooms of the era, where the ritual of the home aperitif became an integral part of conviviality and the elegance of the home.
An iconic object of mid-century Italian design, perfect for vintage, modernist, or eclectic environments, capable of adding character and refinement to any living space.
It will be shipped disassembled to avoid transport damage.
Proper packaging and trackable shipping across Europe.
