Maurizio Valch presents Genesis I, an acrylic on canvas signed work from a 2026 limited edition (Edition 1) in red, blue and black, measuring 60 by 90 cm, shipped rolled without a frame and with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
Genesis I belongs to a group of works the artist refers to as Genesis Studies.
These paintings explore spiral and vortex forms as symbols of primordial movement — the moment before structure and territory begin to appear.
While Maurizio Valch’s larger paintings investigate what he describes as metaphysical territories, where architectural forms organize space and perception, these spiral works remain closer to the origin of form itself.
Rather than preparatory sketches, Genesis Studies represent an earlier stage in the visual language of the work — a moment where movement begins to organize into structure.
Collectors of Genesis Studies become part of the early circle accompanying the evolution of the work.
More about this conceptual framework can be found on the artist’s website.

About the artist
Maurizio Valch is a contemporary painter whose work explores what he describes as metaphysical territories — landscapes where structure, horizon and architectural forms organize the emergence of perception.
His paintings investigate the relationship between primordial movement, territory and the appearance of consciousness within space. Through a visual language that combines geological landscapes, monolithic forms and symbolic structures, his work develops what he defines as Architectural Metaphysical Abstraction.
Maurizio Valch has exhibited internationally, including exhibitions in Barcelona at the Real Círculo Artístico and the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
