Marilyn by Giuliano Grittini (1951), a 2017 original mixed-media Pop Art work from Italy, 35 × 35 cm, signed by hand, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
The artist Giuliano Grittini (Corbetta 1951) is an Italian photographer, art printer, and visual artist known for inventing the technique of "Cracker Art." This special technique involves the use of precious materials (such as gold and silver leaf) and the artist's direct manual interventions on prints or photographs. The image is "crumpled" or disassembled and then reassembled, often with the addition of writing, glitter, and varnish, making each piece unique, unlike the serial productions typical of pop art. In this artwork he depicts the face of Marilyn Monroe with a mixed-media technique that incorporates photographic elements, text, and an aged appearance, "cracker art" that simulates a torn poster or a collage on paper. Signed at the bottom and with a back inscription: My Work Authentic / Opera Mia Autentica. The lot will be carefully packed and shipped with contracted couriers. For this lot, shipments outside the European Community are not carried out.
