La 628-E8 is an hybrid 1908 work by Octave Mirbeau, published by Eugène Fasquelle and illustrated by Pierre Bonnard.
Between travel diary, reportage and satire, it tells of a motor journey through Belgium, the Netherlands and the Rhine region aboard a car with the license plate "628-E8".
The title refers to the license plate of Fernand Charron's car.
The first edition of 1907 was unillustrated.
The proposed copy is 146/200 part of the 200 copies numbered on Arches velin for a total of 225 copies, with the marginal drawings published exclusively in this edition.
With 125 marginal illustrations ("croquis marginaux") from pen-and-ink and watercolor drawings by Pierre Bonnard. XX, 416 pp. Small quarto.
Original soft cover with front cover illustrated by Pierre Bonnard.
The work is in good internal condition and the cover shows no visible signs of aging.
