Original 2026 abstract acrylic painting La ciudad (XL) by MUMA, 100 × 80 cm, multicolour with orange, yellow, red, green and blue, on canvas, signed by hand, with a certificate of authenticity, originating from Spain.
Description from the seller
“La Ciudad” presents a grouping of vertical volumes that evoke, in an abstract way, the profile of a city. The geometric prisms, arranged at different heights and colors, organize themselves like an imaginary architecture where each form seems to dialogue with the others within a compact and dynamic system.
The dominant verticality suggests growth, aspiration and urban density, while the chromatic diversity —intense reds, luminous yellows, deep blues and greens— introduces a visual vibration that transforms the composition into a landscape built from color and form. The central prism, taller and more prominent, acts as a structural axis around which the rest of the ensemble is articulated.
The light blue background generates a clean contrast that reinforces the sense of open space, allowing the structures to be perceived almost as isolated sculptures in a minimalist setting. In this way, the work oscillates between a representation of a city and a reflection on essential architecture, reduced to its purest forms.
More than describing a concrete place, the piece offers a visual meditation on the construction of space and the coexistence of multiple structures in a single visual balance, where repetition, variation and verticality configure a contemporary metaphor of the urban landscape.
