Description from the seller
Encounter – Painting on canvas, 100 x 70 cm.
The work presents a vibrant and expressive scene in which two fish of intense colors approach each other almost to touch at the center of the composition. Their gazes and the closeness of their mouths suggest a moment of contact, dialogue, or recognition. The deep blue background is speckled with circular shapes and luminous strokes that evoke stars or moving bubbles, creating a dynamic and almost dreamlike atmosphere. Taken together, the painting conveys the idea of a special moment of connection between two beings, highlighting the contrast and harmony between warm and cool colors, and evoking a meeting charged with curiosity, communication, and closeness.
I am a visual artist with a primary focus on painting. My work centers on exploring color as language and as a means to construct landscapes that are born in the mind but seek to materialize in physical reality. Each work is an attempt to translate sensations, memories, and inner atmospheres into tangible images, creating a bridge between the intangible and the visible. Color is the axis of my research: I use it not only as an aesthetic element but as a tool to open emotional and perceptual spaces.
The work is shipped with a certificate of authenticity.
Visual artist trained at the Escuela Profesional de Artes Plásticas de Camagüey (1992) and holding a degree in Sociocultural Studies from the Universidad de Las Tunas (2008), has developed a sustained exhibition career in Cuba and internationally.
