Description
A finely crafted sterling silver signet ring set with a rectangular carnelian seal stone engraved in intaglio with three lines of Arabic calligraphy.
The warm reddish-brown carnelian displays attractive translucency and has been carefully carved with devotional inscriptions arranged in three horizontal cartouches. The flowing script reflects the aesthetic traditions of Islamic calligraphic engraving used on personal seal stones.
The inscription reads:
ما شاء الله — “Whatever God has willed”
لا قوة إلا بالله — “There is no power except through God”
أستغفر الله — “I seek forgiveness from God”
These phrases represent widely used Islamic devotional expressions, often appearing on jewelry and seal stones as protective invocations and reminders of faith.
The stone is mounted in a robust sterling silver bezel with hand-worked prongs. The ring features a solid silver shank with subtle engraved decorative grooves near the shoulders.
The interior of the band bears the “925” hallmark, confirming sterling silver.

They could also function as personal seal rings, producing a readable inscription when pressed into wax or clay.
