The fluorescent frame: a natural light source
Fluorescent plexiglass is not just a container: it behaves as an autonomous light diffuser. When exposed to natural or artificial light in the environment, the neon edge emits a brilliant yellow glow capable of illuminating the wall even without any electrical source. A dramatic effect that makes the piece feel alive, active and three-dimensional.

The color choice of the three ice creams is not only decorative: it’s part of a chromatic study that considers interaction with the fluorescent frame. Fuchsia, lime, turquoise, purple, orange and green dialogue with the neon edge to reflect light and amplify its diffusion, creating a vibrant depth effect that changes with the space’s brightness.

The frame is custom-designed, built entirely around the artwork and is non-removable. This clearly distinguishes it from works that use standard frames or pre-fabricated modules: here the frame is the sculpture, defining perceived volume, and safeguarding and enhancing the internal elements.

The three ice cream cones, with neon surfaces and colors, are made in bioplastic, a sustainable and lightweight material used by Kiras in much of her three-dimensional work.
