Adolfo Busi - “Notte di Stelline” Barilla

"Notte di stelline" is a Barilla calendar board designed by Adolfo Busi in 1931, in response to the "Manifesto della Cucina Futurista" by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, who wanted to ban pasta from Italian tables. Busi's calendar featured plump, dynamic children who playfully interacted with pasta shapes, thus showing that pasta gives energy and is good for people. they contemplate, hand in hand, a sky studded with twinkling stars in the romantic night of Saint Lawrence.
