Lot of 4 Napoleonic prints – Battle of Jena, Imperial Guard and scene at Malmaison – 19th / early 20th century – framed
Description:
- Set of four historical prints illustrating the era of Napoleon Bonaparte, depicting different military and court scenes of the Empire.
The lot includes:
- Battle of Jena – depiction of the famous French victory at the Battle of Jena. Colorized print showing Napoleon and his staff on horseback facing infantry. (27 x 32 cm)
- Imperial Guard – Sappers of the Engineers (1810) – uniformology plate illustrating the military uniforms of the Imperial Guard. (28 x 37 cm)
- Bugler of the Horse Artillery of the Guard – beautiful depiction of a bugler of the mounted artillery regiment of the Imperial Guard. (19 x 32 cm)
- An Evening at Malmaison – interior scene evoking court life at the Château de Malmaison, residence of Empress Joséphine de Beauharnais. (34 x 24 cm)
The prints were printed and colorized between the late 19th century and early 20th century.

Good overall condition given age.
