AniB. - The Listening RAVEN

The raven lifts its head and seems to listen attentively to the world. Whether it is listening, thinking, or about to share something, remains open – in this quiet tension lies the moment. A portrait of one of the most intelligent and most mysterious birds in nature.

This handmade unique piece starts at a minimum price of €100. Because real art has value – but doesn’t have to be unaffordable! The price is deliberately chosen so that everyone has a chance at an original piece.

Painted with acrylic paints and Acrylic Ink on sturdy artist paper, repeatedly protected with varnish. The back bears my artist stamp, is dated and again signed.

Format (including the black mat): 30 x 30 cm. The painting has been sealed multiple times with varnish to protect colors and details as best as possible.

I am AniB – an artist with Latvian roots, living in Germany since 1990. Today my works almost exclusively come to life on paper. This more compact and calmer working method fits not only my creative process but is also a response to health challenges. It suits my everyday life and gives me the space to immerse myself fully in the motif.

My works often emerge in small series and in changing styles – because for me, art thrives on curiosity, not repetition. I studied art and illustration in Riga, and since the 1990s I have worked professionally – with exhibitions at home and abroad.

I love creating characters with personality – beings that carry a little story inside them. Sometimes quirky, sometimes quietly thoughtful, often with a wink.
