Antique ring with ruby and diamonds – late 19th century, period 1880-1900, European provenance.
Features a natural pigeon-blood red Burmese ruby certified by IGN (Italian Gemological Institute) at 1.58 ct.
A surround of 12 Old Mine cut brilliant diamonds totaling 1.20 ct, high quality G color VS clarity.
Weight: 4.82 g
Italian ring size: 13
French ring size: 53
Setting dimensions: 1.5 cm x 1.5 cm.
The 18 kt yellow gold setting presents a pierced gallery decorated with sinuous motifs, typical of European jewelry of the second half of the 19th century. The back of the setting is worked with openings that allow light to pass through the stones, enhancing their brilliance.
The ring shoulders are finely modeled with ornamental curvilinear motifs, a characteristic of artisanal production of the late 19th century.
Will be shipped in a gift box with tracked and insured shipping.
A certificate of authenticity for the object will be issued with the characteristics of the stones and the gold.
