AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

A large Neolithic axe/pickaxe made from the local flint of Spiennes and surrounding areas. Typical for the Middle Neolithic Michelsberg culture. This specimen could have been used as a pick in the local flint mines. The site of Spiennes near Mons is world-famous for its large number of flint mines and is one of the largest operations of this material in Europe. The modern local museum is definitely worth a visit.
In good condition and with no restorations
I left a piece of text that was glued to the stone attached to it, perhaps it is something tied to a piece of history.
Dimensions 171 x 58 mm.
With each sold lot an authenticity certificate is provided
