XTC created Mc Dollars red Boxed, a 27 × 27 × 6 cm plastic and wood framed box sculpture from France, edition 9/20 dated 2026, signed by hand and numbered on the back with a COA provided.
Description from the seller
Red and yellow McDollars cone in a black-framed display case for wall presentation by XTC.
Détournement of the McDonald’s cone; this is not a cardboard McDonald's cone, it was created from plastics and is fully painted and varnished by XTC with fake banknotes.
The frame is part of the artwork. It comes with a plastic pane, and you can display it with or without as in the first and second photos.
Signed and numbered on the back out of 20, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
The item sent is not necessarily the one in the photo but will be similar.
Careful, tracked shipping.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC has shaped his artistic universe through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration has become a passion that was meant to materialize.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught plastic artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement, through the subversion of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity is expressed through the bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes clash with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermès, Veuve Clicquot champagne, or caviar) and Street Art, blurring even further the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals.
He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, advertising, and addictions in general.
All possible defects or imperfections are an integral part of the artwork.
