Description from the seller
This gardening or vineyard crop-protection sprayer was made by the company GEBRÜDER HOLDEN in the early 20th century, between 1900 and 1930. It is made of brass, and held together by rivets. It has a pump in the middle and contains a built-in manometer. The hose is rubber and has the sprayer at its end. The other end is drilled onto a winding at the bottom. A metal cap closes the liquid inlet. It also has leather straps to wear this on the back while working. Its patina looks used but not damaged. This is leftovers from a friend's grandfather and was used on the wine mountains in Saxony-Anhalt near Freyburg and Naumburg. I decided not to clean it but gently wipe it with a soft cloth to remove the dust. So there are green colorings as visible in the photos from the brass oxidizing. The hose is old and, being rubber, looks cracked. All in all it looks like it could still work. That said, I am not sure if anything is missing, but the photos show in detail what is on the object.
