Harington oak wood from the period 1910–1920, a paraplubak made of oak wood, in good condition with minor signs of aging and small stains.
Description from the seller
Oak furniture from the period 1910-1920. Perfectly suitable as an umbrella stand.
On the bottom side you can see the company name branded into the wood.
On the back, a copper band was once broken, see photo; it is still firmly attached.
Since 1890 this company in Rotterdam produced top-quality products.
In that period it had extensive grounds along the river and railways.
In the timber warehouses 70,000 to 80,000 m3 of wood could be stored, which at the factory was transformed with no fewer than 150 different machines into all kinds of chests and dishware, from the heaviest oak barrels to the smallest sample chests.
A special decoration department, in which 10 dedicated printing machines worked, produced printed wood in all genres.
The factory buildings and storage facilities covered an area of 5 hectares with 400 meters of riverfront, where the deepest-loaded timber ships from Sweden, Russia and America could dock at the warehouses.
In their heyday they employed more than 1,000 people.
In photo 4 through 7 you can see their company building and their truck from around 1910, as well as an aerial photo showing the immense size of the company in 1922.
This lot has been carefully cleaned and will be carefully packed, insured and sent (with a Track & Trace code so you can follow the shipment). Pickup in Ridderkerk, South Holland is also possible. I have delicious freshly ground coffee.
