Description from the seller

An exceptionally original flyer/brochure from 1932 by F. Serracchiani with the full program of the Carnival celebrations between January 28 and February 9 of that year in the French spa town of Nice. When opened, the brochure offers, among other things, a colorful and festive carnival scene / masquerade ball with numerous dancing, masked and costumed figures who are clearly having the time of their lives.

The image, just like all other illustrations in the brochure (recto/verso, see photos) were prepared by François Serracchiani, who also has several posters for the Nice Carnival to his name.
In the trade literature we unfortunately find no biographical information about Serracchiani. It is certain that he worked between 1927 and 1935 on behalf of the Carnival Committee of the city of Cannes. The brochure offered here is in very good condition and shows only some light signs of use. All illustrations are entirely intact. The color splendor speaks for itself.

Condition A - : thumbtack holes in the white edge at the top, normal crease marks and some creases along the edges.
Printing: Imprimerie de L'Eclaireur - Nice (procédé SADAG) for the Comité des Fêtes et des Sports de Nice.
Shipping: In reinforced and secure envelope with track & trace and insurance.
