Valeria Pesce's original oil painting SIN PRISAS (2025), 30 x 30 x 2 cm on wood panel, depicting minimalist aquatic animals in red, green, orange and white; hand-signed with certificate of authenticity, unframed, produced in Spain, approximately 1 kg.
Description from the seller
NO RUSH
Minimalist work painted on wooden panel in 2025.
The fish are built with few brushstrokes and the water is suggested by the color of the background. The red fish I paint float lightly with their sinuous and elegant movements in a gravity-free liquid sky. The fish as a universal archetypal element, as a link between diverse worlds, as an expression of the flow of life and emotions. Quick and fleeting like clouds and thoughts, they sometimes lose concreteness and suggest abstraction, embodying the delicate balance between serenity and vital impulse.
I’m interested in the boundary between the real world and the surreal world of my ever-changing aquatic landscapes.

ABOUT ME
Born in Italy, on the island of Sardinia, in 1963, after stints in New York to study graphic design and then in Milan, I moved to Barcelona in 1991 to work as a graphic designer and here I began my artistic career which over time has become my profession, my passion and above all a vital necessity.
I have had solo and group exhibitions in several European cities and my works are in various private collections around the world.
My work is deeply rooted in nature and human emotions; my star theme is water and fish, two visual universes that share intense symbolic meaning. The fascination with the fluidity and dynamism of water acts as a through-line of my creations and symbolizes constant transformation.
