All automatic watches must be wound at first use; the movement cannot be maintained by wrist motion alone.

RULE FOR ALL WATCHES WITH DATE
To avoid potential damage to the movement, please do not set the date with the crown when the time is between 21:00 and 03:00. It is recommended to set the date with the crown when the time is between 03:05 and 20:55. (Some models have a screw-down crown; for settings, gently unscrew the crown counterclockwise. Do not forget to securely screw the crown back after adjusting the desired settings.)
