Some tears and wears to golden amber varnish over lighter ground, no cracks on top, back and scroll, small repaired cracks to the end pin.

Description:

Good quality straight medium grained spruce was chosen for the top. Two pieces back of beautiful flamed maple. Matched sides, neck and scroll. The whole length of the violin is 590 mm and the back 357 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 172 mm; middle bouts: 117 mm; lower bouts: 207 mm. Full size.

The violin is good condition is ready to play with new boxwood fittings and new strings. Its warm, rounded, mellow voice is compelling with a rich french character that is precise, singing, deep, mellow with a sweet note.
