The first image shows the transition of the work from the external wall to the internal space of buildings. What is born on the street, in an urban and public context, is transferred inside buildings, houses or museums, completely changing its environment and meaning. In this case the most interesting street-facing section is selected and cut, the spot where the street artist had carried out the external intervention. The fragment is then detached from its original roadside context and transformed into an autonomous object. Once cut, this piece of wall can be moved and placed indoors: in homes, buildings, museums or other structures. In this way the artwork changes environment and function, moving from the public and everyday space of the street to a private or institutional space, where it is preserved and exhibited as a true artistic object. All of this represents a kind of imagined reconstruction by the artist, reflecting on the process of moving the work from the urban context to the domestic or museum setting.

The natural imperfections, marks and dents of the materials are not defects but an integral part of the work: they testify to its urban life and strengthen the artwork’s typical Street Art identity.
