Description from the seller

Jan Kelderman (Edam, March 18, 1914 – Amsterdam, 1990) was an Amsterdam merchant and impressionist painter, who sold his works himself to the public and lived on the proceeds. He sold his paintings to companies, at exhibitions and markets, in hotels and in his regulars’ cafe. He had no formal training as a painter and was thus self-taught. He mainly painted Amsterdam and Paris cityscapes, seascapes, floral still lifes, mountain landscapes and winter scenes.
