Casa Editorial Vecchi began by publishing dime novels, such as Arrojada en la noche de su boda (1918), Dick Norton: el héroe del Far-West (193?) or Al Capone. Los pistoleros de Chicago (1932).[3]
Midway through the thirties, and under the direction of Jorge Parenti, it focused on the production of comics such as "Yumbo" (1934), "Aventurero" (1935) and "La Revista de Tim Tyler" (1936), which introduced the American adventure comic to the Spanish public.[1] In March of that same year the collection Las Grandes Aventuras began, composed of monographic notebooks that compiled the adventures previously serialized of the house's heroes (Tim Tyler's Luck, Agente secreto X-9, Flash Gordon, Franck Buck, King and Tarzán). With this, and in the words of historian Antonio Martín, it demonstrated
