Description from the seller
David Kalinchuk – Aurora Borealis – 2001
Moodful, abstract composition inspired by the phenomenon of the aurora borealis (Aurora Borealis). On a deep navy background the artist builds dynamic, spiral light forms in shades of green, pink and white, paired with a delicate rhythm of bright points reminiscent of stars.
The painting plays with the contrast between a calm horizon line and the expressive movement of light in the night sky. The composition combines elements of contemporary abstraction with a symbolic landscape, creating an atmospheric interpretation of one of the most fascinating natural phenomena.
The work is painted with oil on panel, which gives the surface stability and a clear painterly texture. The painting also has a strong decorative value and will suit both modern and classical interiors – in a living room, study, or collector's space.
The piece is signed and dated by the artist in the lower right corner: “Kalinchuk 2001”.
