Description from the seller
Mid-Century French Crystal Centerpiece – Modular Geometric Design
This elegant mid-century centerpiece from France is a striking example of decorative glass craftsmanship. Designed as a modular composition, the four elements can be arranged together to form a circular centerpiece or displayed separately for versatile table styling. Its sculptural geometry and brilliant clarity make it both a functional serving piece and a refined decorative object.
The set is crafted in clear pressed glass with intricate diamond and geometric relief patterns that beautifully capture and reflect light. The richly textured surface creates a sparkling crystal-like effect while emphasizing the refined decorative motifs along the sides. When assembled, the curved elements form a harmonious circular centerpiece, while the two elongated pieces extend the design into an oval or open composition, allowing various elegant table presentations.
Originating from France and dating to the mid-20th century, the piece reflects the aesthetic of the period with its clean lines, structured geometry, and decorative relief patterns typical of mid-century glass design. Its modular concept also makes it a unique decorative object for collectors of vintage tableware and design pieces.
Dimensions:
Long elements (each): 23 cm length × 4.5 cm depth × 5 cm height (9.06 × 1.77 × 1.97 in).
Curved elements (each half circle): 17.5 cm length × 8.5 cm depth × 5 cm height (6.89 × 3.35 × 1.97 in).
Condition: good vintage condition. A few small chips are present but remain discreet as they blend into the irregularity and texture of the cut geometric design. An attractive and rare mid-century centerpiece combining decorative appeal with versatile functionality.
