The nature of the technique I use makes each piece in the series a unique and one-of-a-kind work. The final piece may vary slightly in size and texture from the photos and the text.
The work consists of a pyramidal prism, interrupted three-quarters of the way by a hollow portion. I consider this piece a vindication of the Self over the trials of existence, but also an innate longing upward. Toward a metamorphosis of form into pure energy. Matter that becomes spirit. The hollow portion that interrupts the ascent of the form toward the summit is characterized as an assembly of parts that, unused, remain impressed as empty traces of past experiences.
