In this piece, Art Brut aesthetics explode with a raw and immediate visual force. The subject, Alfio, is represented through a nervous and instinctive graphic mark that deforms facial features to bring out a deep emotional urgency.
The Visual Language: The contrast between the decisive black line and the almost "dirty" chromatic nuances creates a sense of dynamic restlessness. The use of textual elements and symbols — such as the crown in the bottom right and the autographic inscriptions — transforms the canvas into a visual diary, where the boundary between urban graffiti and psychological introspection fades away.
