Medsan’s 40 × 40 cm giclée on canvas, titled Midnight Delivery — Le Livreur d'Edo, hand signed in a cartouche, a limited edition (Edition number 1, 2026) from France, depicting a Edo-period city dweller reimagined as a nocturnal delivery courier in Pop Art style.
Description from the seller
MEDSAN - Edo’s Delivery Rider – Le Livreur d'Edo – Midnight Delivery
With this square-format work, Medsan continues his bold exploration and gives us a new ironic and poetic vision of traditional Japan. This giclée depicts a classic ukiyo-e figure — a city dweller from the Edo period — reimagined as a nocturnal, ultra-connected meal delivery courier.
The visual and temporal contrast is striking: dressed in a kimono with traditional motifs and wearing geta sandals, our courier carries on his back the indispensable and bulky cube-shaped insulated bag of modern delivery. Hanging above stylized waves on a classic wooden bridge (taikobashi), his face is hypnotized and illuminated by the anachronistic glow of his smartphone, likely searching for his GPS route under a starry sky.
The impact of the work rests on this nocturnal blue ambiance, which highlights the clash between the screen’s artificial light and the ancestral landscape. This composition, blending Pop Art with the melancholy of traditional landscapes, humorously underscores the solitude of the night worker through the centuries. The traditional vertical cartouche at the top right, bearing the signature "Medsan" in katakana (メドサン), seals this perfect fusion.
A piece with crazy charisma, both narrative and humorous, ideal for bringing an urban, deep, and offbeat touch to a design interior.

About the Studio:
Atelier Joconde is a collective of artists united around a living, plural contemporary creation. Situated like a true art production space, the studio operates both as collective creation and as individual approaches, depending on the projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Le Yack, a contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work influenced by cinema and realism. By his side, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography, and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo follows a more instinctive pursuit, blending abstract art, outsider art, and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, made, and supervised within the studio, with a common artistic standard and an identity unique to each artist.
