Exceptionally signed copy on the front free endpaper by Harry Gruyaert (born 1941), unique and unavailable as a signed copy and extremely rare, almost unobtainable in unsigned copy. in exe TV Shots. Steidl, 2007. 29 cm x 20 cm, 152 pages and 105 full-page photographs, text by Jean-Philippe Toussaint in French and English. In excellent condition, practically like new.
This book is listed in “Magnum Photobook, the catalogue raisonné” by Fred Richtin and Carole Naggar page 164 (see photo)
Harry Gruyaert notably states in 1978: “For several years I have been fascinated by the image of television ... I had taken thousands of photographs on screen ... by changing the colors and playing with the framing.” Later he also states, “my influences on color come mainly from painting, cinema and television.” It is so true that with this TV Shots collection, Harry Gruyaert joins the post-Impressionist painting of the pointillist period!
