Calvo presents Il Risveglio del Segno, an original 2026 artwork realised with acrylic painting and felt-tip pen, measuring 100 cm high by 77 cm wide in white, cream, yellow and red, sold directly by the artist and in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
The work presents an abstract and dynamic aesthetic, characterized by a color palette dominated by vibrant reds, pale pinks, and white, with graphic accents in black.
Composition: The painting is pervaded by a sense of upward, ascensional and chaotic movement at the same time. Broad, blended brushstrokes create an ethereal background on which decisive graphic marks stand out.
Symbolism: Elements evoking archaic shapes or ideograms are distinguished: thin lines that resemble antennae or filamentous structures, red arches, and small black geometric symbols. In the lower left corner, a stylized face with minimalist features emerges, seemingly observing the scene in a state of meditative calm.
Technique: The use of color suggests a mixed-media technique, probably watercolor or very diluted acrylic, which allows transparencies and delicate overlays, contrasted by the almost calligraphic precision of the black line.
