Subject and Theme:
"ICONIC BAR V.1" is an ironic and powerful work that stages an imaginary encounter between three legendary figures of art and show business: Marilyn Monroe, the Mona Lisa, and the Girl with a Pearl Earring.
Sitting at the bar counter, among colorful drinks and burning cigarettes, the three icons appear relaxed and human, almost complicit in a timeless pause.

In the background, a visual provocation: the word ICONIC., threaded by a bright red neon, drips like paint, while the caption GIN TONIC sits beneath.
A wordplay of meanings that overturns the concept of icon, reducing it (or perhaps elevating it?) to a everyday gesture, a shared toast.

Technique and Creation:
The work combines artistic print on a rigid support with red LED neon that highlights and transforms the word “ICONIC.” into a sharp mark.
The scene is constructed as a cinematic painting, with soft light and warm tones that create a late-night bar atmosphere.
The contrast between the elegance of the subjects and the simplicity of the moment generates a strong, memorable visual impact.

Inspiration and Curiosities:
"ICONIC BAR V.1" reflects on the overuse of the word “iconic” in contemporary language, now emptied and overexposed.
Cancelling it with a red neon and replacing it with “Gin Tonic” is a form of liberation: icons come down from their pedestal, becoming real, accessible, even ironic.
It is an invitation to celebrate lightness, to rediscover the human side even in myths, to rewrite the history of art with a pop and irreverent touch.
