Bruno Cantais, professional painter based in Lyon, is registered as a contributor to the Maison des Artistes.
Born in 1966 in Le Havre.
Bruno Cantais explores several techniques, ranging from an abstract expressionism akin to Rauschenberg, to material projections, to Pop Art collage, or to expressionism.
He probes the surface of the canvas, carving grooves that seem to open paths or sometimes get lost in the mists of color. His inspiration is order and disorder, of feeling and sensation, of shadow and light, of emptiness and fullness.
