Pair of figurative candlesticks in alloy, made in Italy, estimated 1970–1980; each piece is about 51 cm tall, 27 cm wide and deep, weighs 1.5 kg, with a bronze patina and floral and fish relief motifs, in antique style, in good condition with signs of age.
Description from the seller
Perfectly intact. Pair of figurative candelabra originally gilded and subsequently patinated to a bronze effect. The figures depict pages in historicist attire supporting a multi-armed structure with candle plates. The bases are richly decorated with floral motifs and relief fish figures. European manufacture from the first half of the 20th century. The weight of each candlestick is about 1.5 kg. They are not simple candle holders, but sculptural elements that structure the space, ideal for classical interiors, colonial revival or interiors with a theatrical flair. The condition is good, with wear appropriate to age and an uneven patina that testifies to the authenticity and history of the object. A complete and homogeneous pair, a feature increasingly rare compared to the individual pieces scattered over time.
