AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Wall plaque in ceramic by Helmut Friedrich Schäffenacker (1921-2010). This is a piece of modern art (depicting a dog) by the well-known German potter (you can look it up on the German Wikipedia). Schäffenacker produced many similar works depicting birds, houses, fish, animals, and so on. All specimens are unique (not multiples), signed on the front and stamped on the back with the name and place of production. It also bears the code 503, presumably from the late 1950s.
It is equipped with a hook for hanging. I would, however, recommend replacing it given its age. Similar plaques can be found online on antique auction sites, especially in Germany, and they are rather expensive.
