“The things left unsaid” Guzzoni says, referring to his cards. They do not “say” only the words, but also the forms, the bodies and the actions: it is just another language. The collection of his works depicting sheets of paper represents a kind of alphabet, an imaginary ABC, and for this reason they are immortalized without being subject to gravity, but as if suspended to present themselves to the viewer.
Guzzoni’s sheets of paper come into relation with the viewer and are not the tale of someone else written with ink.
They, the sheets of paper, express themselves as forms even without containing words.
They present themselves before our eyes and stand out for their individuality.
They do not let anyone go away without first stimulating their imagination.”
