Description from the seller
Elegant wall-mounted pendulum clock Polaris with a monthly-wound mechanical movement (31 days), made in the second half of the 20th century.
The clock is housed in a solid wood cabinet with a dark finish, featuring turned side columns and a decorative top with a horse sculpture, an ornamental element typical of this type of decorative clock.
The dial is in a classic style with Roman numerals, signed Polaris, and bearing the inscription “31 Day,” indicating the long-running movement. There are two winding holes, one for the movement and one for the striking mechanism.
Through the front glass, the brass pendulum is visible.
It has its instruction booklet.
This type of clock echoes the style of 19th-century German regulators, but it is a vintage production from the second half of the 20th century.
