Description from the seller
GENERAL:
Beautiful Volkswagen T1 Samba van 1973. Fitted with a new luxury camper interior. Rare color scheme, Samba with 23 windows, pop-out windows and sunroof.
BODY/CHASSIS:
This original VW T1 comes from Brazil and was converted there a few years ago from a standard van into a beautiful Camper with a luxurious new interior. It is not an original Samba but a beautiful replica with all details, such as the 23 windows, sunroof and safari pop-out windows at the front. The two-tone combination "orange/red with black roof" looks very lovely and references the old Volkswagen T1 vans from the 1950s.
TECHNICAL:
This T1 has the well-known air-cooled 1500 cc four-cylinder engine. The engine has been removed, serviced, and repainted. The engine runs well and the transmission shifts as it should.
INTERIOR:
Inside, a brand-new camper interior has been installed. Everything you could wish for on a trip with a T1 van, and even a night to sleep in it, is present. A fridge, fold-out table, dining table in the bus itself, smart storage compartments under the benches and of course the seating. Through the well-known "rock 'n roll" system the backrest can be laid flat, creating a bed. The seats and benches are black upholstered and suit the van. The door panels and curtains are made in the corresponding style. Even the wheels are built in color with white-walls, of course with chrome hubcaps.
The list is certainly not exhaustive, but in recent years the following work has been carried out:
* new camper interior
* floor coated in black coating
* bumpers in black gloss paint with red details painted
* new seating and seatbelts installed, for both driver, front passenger and bench
* body repainted in black with orange-red color
* double chrome with wood imperials and side step installed
* curtains black with red details installed
* white walls with chrome hubcaps
* matching black mirrors installed
* black fridge installed
* new black steering wheel installed
* engine removed and repainted
DOCUMENTS:
This van was imported from Brazil and still has Brazilian license plates. All import duties have been paid and the customs documents are of course included. The van is sold “as is.” Due to the absence of a Dutch plate, no test drive has been carried out, but the engine starts, runs, and shifts.
OTHER:
This concerns a Brazilian restoration from a few years ago; the ample number of photos gives a good impression of the condition. Before the van is road-ready, a few adjustments will still be required to meet all European requirements. We therefore advise budgeting 10% - 15% additional costs (indicative) for things like brake and bearing checks, electrical work, fitting European headlights, etc. This is a private sale, so no warranty applies. The van must be collected within 14 days of the auction.
