Bread basket - Silverplated, with central pendant in 925 silver

Oval dish for bread or fruit, silver-plated with a gadrooned, contoured edge and a gilded interior.
The center is adorned with a painted silver medallion depicting a pastoral scene with figures, rendered with finesse and offering a fine decorative quality. It is hallmarked in an oval 925, with the mark partly rubbed off.
It also bears a letter "R" interpreted as a workshop mark.
The wear on the hallmarks is consistent with age, use, and old cleaning.
Good overall condition considering the age, with minor micro-scratches and normal wear to the gilding and the hallmarks.
