Description from the seller
"Pop Soup Generation" – Limited Edition (100 copies) - New Collection 2026
Edition number: 04/100
Artist: SKE
Publisher: Atelier Montmartre Paris
Fine art paper 300 g – ISO A3 format – Signed, numbered – Certificate included
In Pop Soup Generation, SKE portrays Gaston, a cult figure of Franco-Belgian comics, immersed in the world of American pop culture. Sitting on a Brillo box and savoring Campbell’s soup, Gaston embodies a generation cradled by comfort, nostalgia, and mass consumption.
The contrast between the character’s laid-back attitude and the symbolic power of pop icons creates a double reading: an approachable, smiling scene, yet filled with reflection on standardized happiness and American cultural heritage.
The style blends pop art, street art, and illustration, with a deliberately rough line, projections, and splashes that reinforce the work’s urban energy.
An emblematic creation of the SKE universe, ideal for collectors of contemporary pop art, narrative street art, and deconstructions of iconic figures.
Specifications:
• Limited edition of 100 copies
• Printed on premium 300 g fine art paper
• ISO A3 format, easy to frame
• Each copy signed and numbered by SKE
• Delivered with certificate of authenticity
• Shielded shipping, reinforced packaging
“Pop Soup Generation” is a vibrant and joyful piece, designed for collectors who love pop art, revisited comics, and works that tell a story.
A rare edition that will undoubtedly become a flagship element of your collection.
- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught French artist with wide-ranging interests who grew up in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large portion of his artistic work.
He continually explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic, expressive compositions, often with double readings, fuse the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. He won the first prize at the Urban Master contest (2023), then was crowned Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as “Artist of the Month” in October, and he also appeared in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
His works have been exhibited in major venues across Europe, the United States, and Asia, consolidating his position on the contemporary art scene. At the same time, SKE is making his mark in the digital artworks market, a major trend of the past two years, broadening the appeal of his creations to collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and textured play characterize a style that is now essential.
SKE is undoubtedly an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with rising value.
Acclaimed Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY
SKE’s work sits in a prestigious lineage. His line conveys the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His artworks create a bridge between eras: they revisit the classics, including Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms, confronting them with a modern urban aesthetic akin to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA
Drawing from the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey Mouse and Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics, and superheroes is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), through Marvel’s Super Heroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY
In a style that sometimes recalls Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits next to luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also includes automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass consumption icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textured surfaces evoking the glossy finish of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.
This work is ideal for enriching a collection or bringing a dynamic touch to your interiors.
