ABOUT THE ARTIST
Cebrian is the artistic pseudonym of Juan Manuel Álvarez Cebrián (Madrid, 1966), an award-winning Spanish figurative realist painter, under which he signs his more abstract work. In his photorealistic works, landscapes, animals, and the study of simple forms and textures take priority. Cebrián has exhibited in art galleries such as Stoa, Triart, Arte Roma in Zaragoza, and Galería Este in Santander, Spain. Juan Manuel Álvarez Cebrián's style is figurative and sometimes realistic, as he prefers this to hyperrealistic painting so that it can be explained. His favorite discipline is engraving, because he considers it an exciting technique. His works are mainly done in oil, watercolor, charcoal, and graphite. In terms of medium, he prefers those made of wood or linen due to their great nobility when work
