THE WORK ========

In this work I present a frontal portrait of a young male body surrounded by a floral atmosphere that functions as a symbolic and emotional frame. The character appears nude up to the torso with a direct and serene gaze that seeks to establish an intimate dialogue with the viewer. The flowers build an almost dreamlike space where nature envelopes and protects the human figure. I am interested in working the tension between physical strength and inner vulnerability. The light models the body through glazes and layers of color that recall the classical pictorial tradition but with a contemporary sensibility. The pinks, greens and ochres create a living, changing skin. With this painting I explore the relationship between identity, masculinity and nature as a symbolic garden where beauty and fragility coexist in a silent and contemplative balance, inviting the viewer to pause and look beyond the immediate physical and human appearance.

The work is delivered unstretched (rolled in a tube with professional packaging). Stretches and frame NOT INCLUDED. If you have experience or your framer locally should restretch and mount it on a stretcher.
The stated measurements are of the framed painting once stretched and mounted on a stretcher. The actual canvas dimensions are slightly larger to allow for mounting at destination.

The work is shipped packed and rolled in a sturdy protective tube. All shipments are made via UPS, with tracking number and always ensuring the safety, care and efficient delivery of the artwork. All shipments are insured.
