Rectangular tray with a handle in 800/1000 silver, stamped “20” and with a figurative maker’s mark of a griffin, German work from the late 19th – early 20th century.
Neoclassical decoration of knotted ribbons and garlands, articulated curved handle, button-shaped feet. Matte finish on the interior of the tray. Characteristic work of German goldsmithing from the Hanau sphere, a major center of silverware production at that period.
