Wall sconce - Gilt brass

Elegant pair of wall lamps in the Louis XV / Rococo style, cast brass and richly decorated. Probably Lombard manufacture (Italy) from the first half of the 20th century, circa 1920–1940.

The sconces feature a refined decorative design with acanthus leaf motifs, sinuous arms and pierced candle cups, elements typical of Rococo style inspired by the French decorative forms of the 18th century.

The structure is made of cast brass, with a beautiful natural patina that enhances the details and gives depth to the whole. The relief parts show warm golden tones of the brass, brought out by light cleaning that preserved the object's authentic character while keeping part of the original patina.

The sconces have been rewired with a modern electrical installation and are fully functional, ready for installation.

Thanks to their elegance and substantial dimensions, these lamps represent a highly charming decorative element, ideal for entrances, living rooms, corridors or bedrooms, in both classical and eclectic environments.
