A silver-plated antique baroque-style rectangular trinket box from Tuscany, Italy, dating to circa 1940–1950, measuring 9 cm high by 12 cm wide by 17 cm deep, with a repoussé floral frame on the lid and a clean interior, in good condition with patina.
Description from the seller
This luxurious vintage silver-plated rectangular handmade trinket/jewelry box (or small casket) was discovered in Tuscany, Italy—showcasing the region's celebrated tradition of ornate, hand-chased metalwork.
Measuring 17 x 12.5 x 9 cm and weighing a hefty 871 g, it boasts an elaborately repoussé and chased lid border with rich floral, leaf, scrolling vine, and shell motifs framing a smooth central panel (perfect for engraving or monogramming).
The lid reveals a clean interior, ideal for storing jewelry, rings, earrings, small heirlooms, or as a refined vanity/decor accent on a dresser, table, or shelf.
Produced in Italy (possibly Firenze/Florence or Tuscan workshops, famed for detailed silverplate), mid-20th century (1950s–1970s), when such heavily embossed, export-quality pieces were popular for their craftsmanship and elegance.
In good vintage condition with gleaming patina, vintage wear, sturdy, polished, and display-ready.
A weighty, opulent gem of Tuscan artisan heritage—timeless, functional, and beautifully detailed!
