Banksy - Wall and Piece - 2006

Wall and Piece is the cult book by Banksy, who also wrote the texts, in which he presents for the first time the essence of his multifaceted work.
The figure of Banksy remains enveloped in an aura of mystery: of the leading figure of street art we only know that he was born in Bristol, but we do not know his true identity. His famous works on the separation wall between Palestine and Israel, and the wild installations in the world’s major museums, are well known.
Stencils have always been Banksy’s preferred technique for his guerrilla art: thus, singular and humorous portraits of monkeys, of rats, but also of policemen, soldiers, old people and children, become promoters of messages against war, capitalism and institutions.
