Giennadij Pitsko – visual artist of Polish origin, born in 1970. In 1991 he graduated from an artistic high school in the ceramics department. Since 1991 he has been working with painting and ceramics. Since 1992 he has been involved in various artistic projects. His works are very colorful stories about what surrounds him. Giennadij Pitsko’s dynamic painting is distinguished by warm, vivid, and saturated colors, an atmosphere of fantasy and expressiveness of the female figures, as well as the ability to work with the texture of paint applied with a spatula on canvas. The artist uses a brush and a spatula. Pitsko’s painting is very recognizable thanks to a distinctive color palette, reflecting a fascination with French artists such as Claude Monet and Amedeo Modigliani. Twenty years ago in Sopot he saw an exhibition of Jerzy Duda-Gracz and, at first glance, fell in love with creating with spatulas. Since then he has consistently worked in this technique. He also rejected the traditional way of presenting figures, instead drawing on the experience of contemporary painters. Giennadij Pitsko’s works are in the collections of institutions as well as private collectors and in other European countries and beyond Europe. The artist has participated in many national and international exhibitions and plein air events, both solo and group shows. He currently lives and works in Rumia.
A certificate of authenticity from the author is included with the canvas.
